As long as you are fully comfortable risking your machine and wouldn't be too upset if you did have to go out a buy a new PC (or at least new motherboard and cpu) if no then it might just not be worth taking the chance. However, everyone has to start somwhere, so sure have a go at overclocking a pcrig for the first time, just be aware it has the potential to go horribly wrong (and more so for folk new to it).
